Old Holy Church of Holy Forerunner (St John the Baptist), Kornos

The Old Holy Church of the Honourable Forerunner is the historic and spiritual jewel in the heart of Kornos. It is an excellent example of Cypriot traditional architecture, entirely stone-built, that exudes picturesqueness and historical continuity. It functioned for many decades as the main church of the community, until the erection and operation of the new, larger church of the village in 2007.
