Panagia Chryseleousa, (Panagia tou lagni)

The small stone-built country chapel of Panagia the Chryseleousa, more widely known as Panagia tou Lagni, is built upon a hill outside Kliro towards the village of Fikardou. Its name is connected with the tradition of the lots ('lagni') that the owner of the land used to locate the hidden icon of the Theotokos. At that spot, besides the icon, a spring of holy water was also discovered, while the site in the past functioned as a women's monastery.
