Panagia Chryseleousa

The Holy Church of Panagia Chryseleousa is the central and majestic church of the community of Simou in the Paphos district. It is built in the centre of the village square with the local sandstone, dominating characteristically on the horizon of the area. Its construction began in the middle of the twentieth century, withstood the powerful earthquake of 1953 and was officially inaugurated in 1955. The church celebrates festively during the great Marian feasts.
