Panagia Eleousa (Laneia)

This historic church is built in the core of the picturesque wine village and is the central church of the community. It is a traditional edifice with a gabled wooden tiled roof and stone masonry, which houses a rich collection of ecclesiastical relics of great value. Inside it is kept the famous and rare icon of Panagia tou Valana, which dates from the twelfth century, as well as an old wood-carved iconostasis of exceptional artistry.
