Panagia Katafygiotissa

This newer little church is built in the southern part of the village, within an idyllic and pine-clad environment at the location of Gounari. It was built with the collective effort of the inhabitants during the difficult years of the EOKA liberation struggle, replacing an older ruined chapel that previously existed in the same area. The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary as the protector of the afflicted, offering a serene mountain refuge for the faithful.
