Panagia of Agapis

The country chapel of Panagia tis Agapis (of Love) is a unique religious and cultural jewel, hidden in the mountainous area of Larnaca. Nestled within a lush green mountain landscape beside the river of Vavla, it offers the visitor a sense of absolute serenity and seclusion. Although this stone-built edifice with the wooden roof was completed in the 1930s, it carries a deep history of centuries, since its authentic icon was painted in the 16th century.
