Panagia of the Chariton - Terra Santa

This is a majestic Catholic church in Larnaca, which is the main religious centre of the Latin community of the town. The present edifice is the third in succession church that was built on the same spot by the order of the Franciscan monks, replacing older structures that date back to the late 16th century. The church is designed in the shape of a Latin cross with visible influences from the church building of southern Italy, elegantly combining elements of the Renaissance and the Baroque.
