Panagia Palouriotissa

This church is dedicated to the Presentation of the Theotokos (Eisodia) and is located in the historic district of the same name in Nicosia. It is built on the site of one of the oldest women's monasteries of the Frankish period, which was largely destroyed by fire. The present church was erected in the late seventeenth century, preserving the original apse of the sanctuary, while inside it is kept an invaluable, very ancient icon of Panagia the Odigitria.
