Panagia Paramythia

Panagia the Paramythia in Dromolaxia is a modern, stone-built religious refuge. Its creation is due to the wish of the Theotokos herself, as it was expressed through a miraculous event to a Cypriot pilgrim during his stay at the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi on Mount Athos. It is a plain and contemplative church, which, despite its small size, attracts many faithful who seek spiritual consolation ('paramythia' means consolation). It is open daily for pilgrimage, while at the same time offering an idyllic and serene environment for the celebration of holy sacraments.
