Prophet Elias

In the mountainous heart of the Larnaca district, in the district of Kato Lefkara, rises the stone-built country chapel of the Prophet Elias. This small Orthodox Christian chapel faithfully follows the post-Byzantine architectural line, harmonised fully with the rough mountainous relief of the area. Despite its modest capacity, which hosts a limited number of faithful inside, it is a particularly popular and contemplative choice for the celebration of traditional weddings and baptisms. Although it does not have its own holy spring, it is placed in an environment rich in natural springs and historic religious heritage.
