Prophet Elias

This picturesque country chapel is built at the top of a steep and imposing hill that dominates above the traditional wine village of Limassol. It is a plain, single-space stone structure with a gabled tiled roof, which was erected by the inhabitants in honour of the protector of weather phenomena. The surrounding space offers a stunning, panoramic view towards the surrounding mountain peaks and the extensive vineyards of the area, being the focal point of religious contemplation during the annual feast of the Prophet.
