Prophet Elias

A historic and imposing church that dominates upon a small hill of the occupied community, on the spot where the first settlers of the village originally lived in caves. It was built in the middle of the eighteenth century with the contribution of the locals as well as of experienced craftsmen who were summoned especially for this purpose. During the war events of nineteen seventy-four, the characteristic dome of the church was completely destroyed. Today, this important architectural edifice remains without services, in ruins and inaccessible for the religious needs of the displaced inhabitants.
