Saint Anthony

This church is located to the south of Kedares in Paphos and was the katholikon of an old dissolved monastery. It is a small, single-aisled wooden-roofed little chapel that dates before 1600 and is connected with the history of the relocation of the settlement. Tradition relates the existence of a holy spring (agiasma) deep in the ground of the wider historic area, but the church itself does not have a water source. Today it functions as a religious chapel of the village, attracting many pilgrims during the annual festival on the 17th of January.
