Saint Catherine

The historic church of Saint Catherine, also known as Saint Catherine of Fytefkia, is located in a remote rural setting between the villages of Choli and Kritou Terra in the Paphos district. It is an exceptional religious monument of Franco-Byzantine style, which in the past functioned as a dependency (metochi) of the renowned Monastery of Sinai. The structure stands out for its distinctive architectural style as a three-aisled basilica with a dome, while in its interior a few but precious samples of old wall paintings survive.
