Saint Demetrianos

The Byzantine church of Saint Demetrianos of Andridiotou rises to the northwest of Idalion, in the rural location Agridi. It is a single-aisled domed church of exceptional beauty, constructed with particular care from squared limestone blocks. According to local tradition, this spot coincides with the place where this particular local Saint was martyred, making the monument a precious spiritual core for the wider area.
