Saint Epiphanios

This medieval church is the old main church in Liopetri of the Famagusta district and is dedicated to Saint Epiphanios. It is an excellent stone-built monument of Byzantine style with an elegant dome, which preserves remarkable architectural elements and fragments of old wall paintings in its interior. It is located in a central and accessible spot of the community, having been renovated in exemplary fashion, and is now used mainly for special festal services and selected religious sacraments.
