Saint Eustathios

This very old stone church is built at the southern edge of the community, at a very short distance from the renowned medieval castle. Its present structure as a three-aisled basilica with a dome came about after radical interventions and extensions that were carried out during the fifteenth century by the Knights of the Order of Saint John. In its interior survive two layers of medieval frescoes, among which stands out an impressive, large-scale scene that depicts Saint Eustathios as a mounted soldier.
