Saint Fanourios

This small and well-preserved chapel was erected in the early 21st century in the space of the new cemetery of the Municipality of Deryneia, thanks to a donation of the family of an expatriate resident. The structure stands out for its distinctive Aegean style, with white walls that evoke Cycladic architecture. In its interior is hosted a simple wooden iconostasis, while every year at the end of August it gathers crowds of the faithful who offer the traditional fanouropites (Saint Fanourios cakes).
