Saint George, Askas

This imposing church is built on the boundaries of the mountainous area, functioning as the central worship core for the faithful of the surrounding communities. It is a spacious three-aisled basilica with a traditional wooden roof, which is constructed with local stone of Pitsilia. The interior of the church is adorned with an impressive wood-carved iconostasis and precious icons of great historical value, offering a space of deep devotion.
