Saint George Nikoxylitis

This historic monastic structure is located about three kilometers outside the community of Drouseia in the Paphos district. It was originally erected during the Byzantine period by monks who sought protection from the Arab raids, while it experienced enormous economic and spiritual flourishing during the Venetian period. The structure suffered significant destruction from fires and earthquakes in the past, but was fully restored and recently the official opening of the church took place.
