Saint George (Palaia ekklisia)

This historic church rises at the southeastern edge of the community and popular tradition connects its erection with the queen of Cyprus, Catherine Cornaro. It is a single-aisled basilica that in the past bore complete iconographic decoration, of which today survives only the wall painting of Saint Demetrios. Although its original iconostasis was destroyed, in its interior are kept precious religious icons that date from the 15th century.
