Saint George

The new and spacious Holy Church of Saint George is the central parish church of the mountainous community of Kannavia in the Pitsilia area. It was erected in the early 21st century to cover the modern needs of the residents, replacing the function of the eponymous old church of the village. The structure follows the type of the basilica with a dome and is faced with local natural stone, fully harmonizing with the verdant forest environment.
