Saint George

The Holy Church of Saint George is the central parish church of the community of Kapedes in the Nicosia district. The structure is a traditional stone-built single-aisled basilica, which was radically renovated during the 19th century to serve the needs of the faithful. In the interior of the church dominates a wood-carved iconostasis of excellent craftsmanship with rare historic icons, being the focal point of the spiritual and social life of the area's residents.
