Saint Irene Chrysovalantou

This small church is located in the refugee settlement of Anthoupolis, in the area of Lakatamia. It was created together with the rest of the settlement's basic structures after the events of 1974, in order to serve the immediate spiritual needs of the displaced residents. It is located near the central church of the Transfiguration of the Saviour and the community kindergarten of the area. Because of its very limited interior space, it is not used for the celebration of large joyous sacraments, but remains open for pilgrimage and individual prayer.
