Saint John Monagritis

This Skete is a distinctive ascetic cave and dependency (metochi) of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Amasgou in the village of Monagri of Limassol. The space is inextricably connected with the local Saint John the Monagrite, who practiced asceticism in the area and whose memory is honored with reverence by the residents. It is a small and devout point of religious worship, hidden within the natural relief of the community, offering an isolated space for individual prayer.
