Saint Kyriaki - Chrysopolitissa

This emblematic church is located at the important archaeological site of Kato Paphos and is built upon the ruins of an enormous early Christian basilica of the 4th century. In its precinct dominates the traditional column where, according to ecclesiastical traditions, the Apostle Paul was scourged during his visit to the island. Today the medieval structure has been made available for the worship needs of the Anglican and Roman Catholic communities, being at the same time one of the most popular destinations for the celebration of religious sacraments by foreign travelers.
