Saint Mamas

This small and picturesque chapel is dedicated to Saint Mamas and is located in the mountainous community of Alithinou in the Nicosia district. It is a plain, traditional wooden-roofed construction, which is characteristic of the ecclesiastical church building of the Pitsilia area. The little church is nestled within a verdant, wooded environment, offering absolute tranquility and devotion to the pilgrims. Owing to its extremely limited interior space, it is not used for the celebration of joyous social sacraments, but remains ideal for individual prayer.
