Saint Mamas

This magnificent church dominates the center of the occupied settlement and is the patron saint of the community of the people of Mandres. It was built in the early twentieth century by the residents themselves, who traditionally were occupied with agriculture and animal husbandry at the foothills of Pentadaktylos. Unfortunately, after the events of nineteen seventy-four, the church was savagely plundered, its icons and relics were stolen, while the building remains desecrated and completely without services for the displaced faithful.
