Saint Marina

This historic church is the central church of the community of Alambra in the Nicosia district and belongs to the Holy Metropolis of Tremithous. According to local tradition, Saint Marina is considered the protector of the village, as she saved it from a catastrophic fire in the past. It is a three-aisled structure constructed of carefully hewn limestone of the area, which was radically rebuilt in the mid-20th century. Owing to its central location, its historical significance, and its comfortable spaces, the church operates normally and successfully hosts weddings and baptisms of the residents.
