Saint Marina

This is one of the main churches of the occupied mixed village of Lapathos in the plain of Mesaoria. The church served the religious needs of the Greek-Cypriot residents of the community until the events of the Turkish invasion of 1974. Today, this historic stone structure is under occupation, remains inactive and inaccessible for the free celebration of weddings or baptisms, being a point of reference and nostalgia for the displaced residents.
