Saint Mavrikios

This is a beautiful chapel which was erected to the east of the plain of Linidia, upon the foundations of an older historic church. The structure was expanded and fully embellished in the early 21st century with the contribution of the community, being now a popular destination for locals and tourists. The Saint is considered miracle-working for skin ailments, with the faithful following an old tradition of using moist earth from the church as a healing ointment.
