Saint Merkourios

This isolated, wooden-roofed stone little church is hidden within the dense vegetation of the forest of Paphos, at the site of an old abandoned settlement. It is the only church on the entire island that honors the memory of this particular Saint, having been built upon the medieval ruins of an older church. Owing to its unique location next to an organized excursion space, it offers an environment of absolute tranquility, ideal for individual prayer and contact with nature.
