Saint Modestos

This particular religious structure is a plain and makeshift construction without a special architectural identity. It was created hastily immediately after the events of 1974, with the sole purpose of serving the immediate worship needs of the displaced people who took refuge in the area. The church is dedicated to Saint Modestos, who in the popular tradition of Cyprus is honored deeply as the protector of animals and farmers.
