Saint Nicholas Gialias

This particular ruined church is a historic and archaeological monument of exceptional importance of the community of Gialia in Paphos. It is located at a very short distance from the well-known medieval Georgian Monastery of Panagia Chrysogialiotissa, built next to the banks of the eponymous river of the area. The excavation research brought to light its architectural remnants and an old watermill, proving the close religious and cultural relations that had developed between Cyprus and Georgia in the past.
