Saint Nipios

This ancient chapel is located on the boundaries of the communities of Giolou and Theletra in Paphos and is dedicated to an unknown local Saint. According to tradition, Saint Nipios (the Infant) protects small children and helps them with their first steps. The church was saved from ruins thanks to recent restoration works by the Department of Antiquities, revealing stone benches and a medieval tomb. It is an extremely small, plain, and isolated monument of religious heritage that attracts mainly parents for the fulfillment of vows.
