Saint Onouphrios

This picturesque chapel is located in the community of Kathikas of Paphos and plays a central role in the religious customs of the area. Every Good Friday it is the starting point for the traditional reenactment of the carrying of the Holy Cross toward the central church of the village. It is a plain, stone-built church that harmonizes with the popular architecture of Laona. The space functions as an important pilgrimage site for the community, which honors festively the memory of Saint Onouphrios on the 12th of June.
