Saint Paraskevi

This magnificent church dominates the Akropolis area in Strovolos and is a central spiritual point for the wider Nicosia. The modern building replaced the functional need of an older, smaller church of the nineteenth century, which is located right next to it and survives as a historic remnant of an old monastic complex. Owing to its size and its accessible location, it gathers crowds of the faithful daily, while it is often chosen for the celebration of holy sacraments.
