Saint Photini

The small and picturesque chapel of Saint Photini belongs to the parish of Saint George in the Municipality of Latsia of the Nicosia district. It is a unique religious particularity for the wider area, as it is the only church in the entire capital that is dedicated to Saint Photini the Karpasitissa. Owing to its particularly limited interior space, the little church is not used for the celebration of holy sacraments, while it opens its gates for an official divine service only once a year, on the day of the Saint's feast in early August.
