Saint Theodore

This historic church dominates a height at the entrance of the mountainous village of Lemythou in the Limassol district. It belongs to the characteristic architectural type of the single-space wooden-roofed church of Troodos and bears a closed, Gamma-shaped portico on its western and southern sides. Although it suffered serious damage from fire in the 1970s, it was fully restored and today functions as the official Icon Repository of the community, hosting Byzantine icons of priceless value.
