Saint Therapon

The church of Saint Therapon, in the center of the village, began to be built in 1816 and was completed in 1880, while it was inaugurated in 1910. According to tradition, the Saint himself indicated the spot where the church had to be built, seeing a lamp lit there. In the interior dominates the wood-carved iconostasis, one of the three works of the sculptor Giavopoulos in Cyprus. The memory of the Saint is honored on the 14th of October and the 27th of May, and many of the faithful come to venerate the fragment of the holy relics that is kept in the church.
