Saints Iliofotoi

The church of the Saints Iliofotes is the only monument that survived from the eponymous abandoned village of the Nicosia district, near the community of Kato Moni. The church is stone-built with a traditional tiled roof and communicates directly with an underground cave, which is considered the tomb and hermitage of the five Alaman saints. Within the cave gushes running holy water (agiasma), while every summer on the 13th of July a great festival is organized in honor of the Saints.
