Spilios of Saint Giorki

This is a historic and exceptionally contemplative cave chapel, hewn within rock in the area of Xylotympou. The site is connected with the medieval ascetic tradition of Cyprus and is dedicated to Saint George, being a hidden refuge of faith. Inside it, absolute simplicity prevails with plain little icons, while the surrounding rural space offers ideal conditions for seclusion, calm and individual prayer of the visitors.
