Timios the Forerunner

This traditional church is located in the eastern part of the mountain settlement, built among the picturesque alleys of the village. It is made of local stone of the area and bears the characteristic timber-roofed tiled architecture that is found in the mountain resorts of Pitsilia. Inside it stands out the old wood-carved iconostasis and the historic icons, while the exterior paved courtyard offers a panoramic view towards the lush green slopes. It is one of the central places of worship of the community, keeping its historic character intact.
