Unknown Church (Ruins)

In the plain of the occupied community of Elia in the Nicosia district are located the remnants of an old church, which is believed to have been dedicated to Saint Mamas or Saint George. The structure has suffered violent and total destruction with the passage of time, as well as complete stripping of every interior religious relic. Today are discernible mainly the leveled stone walls and the foundations of this post-Byzantine structure within the fields. The monument remains a ruined and silent witness to the long ecclesiastical presence in the Solea area.
