SAINT MARINA

This historic church is built in the heart of the mountain village and belongs to the distinctive architectural type of the timber-roofed churches of the Troodos mountain range. In its interior precious examples of ecclesiastical art survive, the most characteristic being the fragments of old wall paintings that adorn the northern wall of the building. Its erection was completed during the second half of the eighteenth century, and it has since been the spiritual centre of the community during the great religious festivals
