SAINT THEKLA

A few kilometres to the west of the city of Limassol, in the rural area that adjoins the Akrotiri Salt Lake, is the isolated Chapel of Saint Thekla. This small structure is located within the Lanitis estate and was erected during the 1970s upon the ruins of an earlier church. It is the smallest church of the community of Asomatos, is surrounded by rich crops and reveals the strong bond of the residents of the area with agriculture
