SAINT THEKLA (RUINS)
A roughly built, historic chapel that lies in a ruined condition very close to the coastline of the occupied Karpasia peninsula. The location is surrounded by ancient tombs of various historical periods and is connected with the maritime tradition owing to an old shipwreck on the adjacent rocks. At this spot, right where the waves break, a renowned and miraculous holy water spring flows which is connected with the healing of illnesses. Owing to the events of nineteen seventy-four, the building remains without services, abandoned and inaccessible for the free attendance of the displaced faithful.
