SAINT MARINA

This modern church is built in the frontier community of the Nicosia district, very close to the dead zone. Its erection took place in order to replace the old historic little church of Saint Marina, which had suffered total destruction during the period of the Ottoman rule. The building follows the classic Byzantine lines and functions as a spiritual haven and a point of reference for the few residents of the area.
