SAINT PHOTEINI

The small and picturesque Chapel of Saint Photeini belongs to the parish of Saint George in the Municipality of Latsia in the Nicosia district. It is a unique religious peculiarity for the wider area, as it is the only church in the entire capital that is dedicated to Saint Photeini the Karpasitissa. Owing to its particularly limited interior space, the little church is not used for the celebration of holy sacraments, while it opens its gates for an official divine liturgy only once a year, on the day of the feast of the Saint at the beginning of August.
