HOLY UNMERCENARIES

The chapel of the Holy Unmercenaries, built in 1919 at the expense of Damianos Hadjigeorgiou, is located three kilometres from the village. It is a small stone-built little church with a pitched tiled roof, two entrances and a simple wood-carved iconostasis. It was renovated in 2006 and has a small paved courtyard with a stone bell tower and a fountain. The memory of Saints Cosmas and Damian is honoured on 1 November, while the chapel remains open daily for pilgrimage.
